Welcome to Avida Counseling Group

Hello! My name is Raechel Callejo, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist # 119641. I established Avida Group Counseling in order to offer focused mental health care to California residents. In my training and experience, I have seen a common trend for therapists to draw out counseling for longer than necessary. With accurate assessment and a focused, collaborative treatment plan, most individuals don’t need years of weekly therapy, although some do. On the contrary, short term therapy models have been shown to be quite effective. At Avida Group Counseling my goal is to help you: feel better as quickly as possible, to develop skills you can use in your daily life, and to experience personal growth. 

Clinicians receive specialized training to best serve the individualized needs of each client. Because of our smaller caseloads, clinicians are able to put time and energy into developing skills specific to your mental health needs and to learn and use direct, evidenced-based techniques to help you feel better faster.
